Retail versus Corporate Licensing Comparision

Here is a typical scenario of a retail versus Corporate licensing comparion. Let us assume the requirement is for five copies of MS Office Pro for 5 desktops.


Retail Option:

5 X MS Office 2007 Professional #269-01342 $ 690.00 each
Subtotal: $3450.00 plus taxes

Corporate Option:

5 X MS Office 2007 Professional #79P-00123 $ 589.00 each
1 X CD Media for the above $ 45.00
Subtotal: $2990.00 plus taxes
Savings: $ 460.00

The CD media is required for the Licensing program option as the Corporate licensing doesn't include manuals or media. But one CD will suffice for all the installs, unless you choose to get more. Sometimes businesses will store a CD offsite.

When you look at some of the other software required, licensing becomes even more attractive.
