Tony - Microsoft Certified Network Engineer

As a youngster, Tony had more computers than Bill Gates - or so it seemed! He has extensive hardware expertise that is rare in an advanced network software engineer. He can strip down a laser printer, build a server, or a replace a PC motherboard with the best of them. But Tony specializes in Microsoft Server software, and supports many of our long-term clients. He has all sorts of advanced training, but his most important skill is solving client technical issues quickly and effectively.

Victor - Microsoft Certified Network Engineer, Microsoft Certified Adminstrator, Microsoft Certified Web Specialist

Vic specializes in computer networks, email systems, mobile devices, websites and online marketing support. Vic graduated from Sydney's Macquarie University with a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics and Marketing), so he understands our client's business processes. This is invaluable in his network adminstration of our long-term clients. In between his many active pursuits of mountain biking, downhill skiing, and world travel, Vic specializes in many cutting-edge technologies; from VMWare virtualization to iSCSI storage SANs.

Joe - Certified by 35+ years of hands-on IT

Joe is one of our best PC troubleshooters, handling both PC support and network administration. We rely on Joe's versatility and practical know-how to keep our clients happy. He is very familiar with the Visual Effects industry, having supported their desktop and server applications for some time. Joe is also an active Board member for the Renfrew Community Centre.

Mat X - Apple Certified Xsan 2 Administrator, Apple Certified Support Professional, Apple Certified Technical Coordinator, Qlogic Certified Technical Professional

Whether you are setting up one small Mac server for a school, or a large render farm, Mat can help. He has been setting up Mac servers, XSAN, and pipelines for VFX, Film and Post for many years. An expert in Mac OS X and Mac OS X Server, he can build and integrate Macs with existing Windows, Linux or Sun Systems and Directory Services. Lately, he's been getting into asset management systems like Final Cut Server. If he's not in a server room building something new he's on his bike or baking a batch of muffins!

Alexander - Microsoft Certified Server Administrator, Microsoft Certified System Engineer, Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist: Windows Vista, Comp TIA A+

Alexander has 11+ years of experience installing, maintaining, tuning, and administering Windows systems. He is an experienced programmer, and has a Masters Degree in Software Development from the Technical University of Moscow. Alexander enjoys exploring beautiful BC with his family, as you can see above!

Ben - Microsoft Certified Network Engineer, Microsoft Certified Trainer, Certified Novell Engineer

Ben recently joined Coastway as a PC and network support engineer. He is very experienced in supporting small to large businesses in his native Germany. He is also an accomplished technical trainer in both Microsoft and Novell network technologies. Ben does contract network administration, and is involved with ongoing client support.

Kevin - Cabling Specialist, Voice/Data Specialist

Kevin is our cabling specialist. He is an expert in network cabling, data and voice systems, and anything with a cable attached to it. We rely on him to build the networking and voice cabling infrastructure for our clients.

Daken and Korianne Ariel, Founders and business managers

Daken and Korianne started Coastway in 1984, when Daken was a temporarily unemployed architect. After 25 years in IT, Daken will not be getting back to drafting anytime soon. Korianne manages the office and accounting. Daken coordinates sales and service. Their main responsibility is to insure that each client is completely satisfied with Coastway's service and support!
